Well Tropical Storm Fay has SLOWLY made her way onto our coast. We are a couple miles inland from the beaches, but we have been looking out at rain for about 2 days now.
First, let me ask you to keep the people of Brevard County Florida in your prayers. Fay sat over top of that county for SO LONG and they are really having issues with flooding.
A little further inland and up the coast is where we sit. The wind started picking up last night and the rain has been constant since yesterday. Here at our house we haven’t seen a lot of damage, but there’s plenty of water to be had.
Here are a few things we have been doing while waiting out Fay…
Pumped out the water of our pool – 3 times so far!
Here is a picture of it this morning at about 10:00 at it’s rim.
It’s now 2:33 and it’s looking like this again.
Not only is our backyard swampy from the rain. But I’m having to pump out the pool water too, which adds to the swampy-ness.
We’ve been able to catch up on all our co-op homework and play lots of Wii Fit Games!
We’ve taken walks outside and played around in the puddles.
I even got in on this fun!
One nice thing about this storm is that there is no lightning!
And as you can tell by this boring post, we’ve spent time taking silly pictures of outside, catching up on blogging, Facebooking and other computer geeky stuff to kill time.
Here is a picture of God’s pruning job on our palm tree. LOL. Who needs a tall ladder when you can just let God trim it up with a Tropical Storm.
One more funky picture before I go.
All morning long I have been watching the rain through our back door. I noticed that since daylight came up, this guy has been hanging onto our screen enclosure the WHOLE time. He hasn’t moved yet. I’m not sure what he’s thinking, but I don’t see any other lizards hanging out.
Well that’s it. My boring slide show of Hanging Out With Tropical Storm Fay. Hope I didn’t bore you too much. LOL.
