Ok. I admit it. I’m a terrible blogger. I promised pictures of our Christmas party and then TOTALLY forgot to take some. I’m sorry.
We did have a GREAT time though. We had over 40 people! My youngest princess was a HUGE help this year. Her help allowed me to visit more with people and mingle. Even with that, it’s still hard to just relax during a party like that, but it’s so worth it. We love opening our home. It’s our Christmas gift to our friends.
Since I didn’t take pictures of all the great food spreads and such, I’ll share some pictures of some of the preparations and decorations around our home.
In my previous post I listed all the soups I was making. Here is one of the BIG pots I use. This one was filled with the Winter Minestrone soup. I’m not a big Minestrone soup eater, so I wasn’t sure how it turned out. Everyone at the party loved it, so I guess it was ok.
Again, I’m a BAD blogger. I didn’t get an AFTER picture, but I have to tell you.. with all that had to be done for this party, I’m lucky I got these taken. LOL!
Okay, now onto the house decorations. Our Dining Room! This is my favorite room. Probably because it’s the only one that is COMPLETLY decorated.
We did some red glazing and with all the Christmas decorations the room really POPS with holiday cheer!
They weren’t long enough so I bought some coordinating fabric and some beading and added to the end. I was so excited with the way they turned out!
Somehow a rumor got started at my party that I had MADE the drapes myself. ROFL!!! I don’t know how many people left thinking this, but I thought it was soo funny. This room was also called the dessert room. It’s where we had the cheesecakes and all the other yummies that people brought!
At last but not least is our tree. Nothing really special with this one. Our tree is decorated with ornaments that my DH and I have collected over the years and the ones that we give our princesses every year. I’m thinking that when my princesses leave the castle and take their ornaments with them, I am going to have to do some serious ornament shopping.
Well I hope I didn’t bore you too much with the Christmas tour of our house. I would LOVE to see of your decorations if you haven’t already blogged about them.
