The other night I was NOT in the mood to make dinner. Have you ever been there?
I just didn’t feel like standing in the kitchen and getting creative, but then I remembered that I had gotten some free bags of Mahatma rice through a new Bzz campaign I’m doing.
I had thawed out some pork loin chops and knew I had enough ingredients to make something decent, so I made myself step away from the computer and headed into the kitchen.
I can’t really share a recipe with you, because I basically made it up as I went along, but it turned out DELICIOUS!
After the pork was browned, I added a box of frozen mixed veggies to the mix.
I sauted all of these together while I cooked the Basmati according to the directions.
Once the rice was mixed with the scrambled egg, I add the pork vegetable mixture to make the final dish.
I had never cooked with Basmati rice before and it was absolutely delicious!! It had an amazing aroma to it while cooking and really complimented the dinner well.
While checking out the details on Mahatma Rice, I found out they have a Riceipe Club ( my spell check is going crazy on that one) that you can sign up for:
Help us, help you … become a member of The Riceipe Club™ and enjoy the benefits! We occasionally offer online coupons and other special offers. Or, if you’re interested in participating with product research, check ‘in-home product placement’ and answer a few more questions. What are you waiting for? Sign up today!
So it does pay off to force yourself to cook sometimes. When a dish turns out as good as this one did, I’m reminded of how much I LOVE to cook!
