We have TONS to choose from, but today I chose one that always makes me laugh.
Night at the Museum is a great family movie. When we went and saw it in the movie theaters back in 2006, I had read some good reviews about the movie but wasn’t too sure if it was going to turn out to be all that great. Boy was I wrong.
Even almost 3 years later, I can still sit and watch this movie and giggle at the funny lines and slapstick humor that is throughout this good family flick.
Here’s a quick synopsis of the movie:
Ben Stiller leads an all-star cast including Robin Williams and Dick Van Dyke in this hilarious blockbuster hit. When good-hearted dreamer Larry Daley (Stiller) is hired as night watchman at the Museum of Natural History, he soon discovers that an ancient curse brings all the exhibits to life after the sun sets. Suddenly, Larry finds himself face-to-face with a frisky T. rex skeleton, tiny armies of Romans and cowboys and a mischievous monkey who taunts him to the breaking point. But with the help of President Teddy Roosevelt (Williams), Larry may just figure out a way to control the chaos and become a hero in his son’s eyes. Boasting jaw-dropping special effects and laugh-out-loud moments, Night at the Museum is your ticket to nonstop fun!
One of the points that I enjoyed in the movie actually happens with the dealing of Larry and his ex-wife. In most movies today, a divorced couple is fighting and putting each other down, but in this movie, the divorced couple are actually really nice to each other and try to work together in a civil manner.
My princess and I love Jedidiah and Octavius – the cowboy and Roman solider who are at odds at the beginning of the movie, but in the end become great friends.
These movies bring the stuff old museums to life again..
