Last night I was able to PAR-TEY with my friends. We even did a little SALSA dancing..
My girlfriends and I got pull together all the ingredients needed to make some DELICIOUS salsa and with some great instructions and equipment, we preserved 12 jars of Salsa Yummyness!
Here’s a link to Ball’s Salsa Recipe
We had some salsa left over, so we broke out the tortilla chips and snacked away.
The Mexican coffee was really easy to make. The cayenne pepper didn’t taste HOT, but it gave you this really cool ‘tingly’ feeling in the back of your throat!
I found the recipe for the Mexican Coffee over at Dishin and Dishes awhile ago and was so excited it worked out. It was fun to drink alongside the Gluten Free Mexican Brownies ( recipe from Gluten Free with Jen) while the salsa was preserving.
Ball has REALLY ‘fancied’ up their canning equipment. I was really impressed with the new look to the jars and this really cool Home Canning Discovery Kit. If you’ve never canned anything before, this Kit is for you!
Here’s some info from the Ball website about the Kit:
The new Ball®Canning DiscoveryTMKit provides an easy and affordable way to start canning in just three simple steps. This kit features a canning rack with an integrated jar-lifter and three pint jars with lids and bands for endless canning options…pickles, sauces, chutney, salsa and more. Also included with the kit is a beginner’s guide to canning and a recipe booklet. A person only needs to supply fresh produce and a large stockpot to start the process
Ball even has an online store where you can order everything you need to start preserving!
We had a great time last night and it was a lot of fun to host a House Party. If you’ve never heard of House party, check out their web site and see how simple it is to share new products with your friends.
