* I’m reposting some of my favorite blog entries that got lost in my move from WordPress back to blogger. I hope you enjoy some of our Disney fun*

A few days ago I posted about our first day at the Disney Social Media Mom’s Celebration, but I just had to come back and write another one.
Now that I’m back home and have had a chance to let it all sink in, I can write a post that does a MUCH BETTER job at telling you what an AMAZING time we had.
When you put together over 100 Mommy Bloggers, mix in some ‘celebrities’, and add some Disney Magic, you end up with an AWESOME Social Media Event.
First let me say, that this trip was worth every penny that we spent. Amy from ResourcefulMommy, Jennifer from Mom Bloggers Club and Maria Bailey at Mom Select and 5 Minutes For Mom put together a Social Media event that went off without a hitch. Leanne, who was one of our Disney hostess’s, did a SUPERCALIFRAGALISTIC job sprinkling Pixie Dust all over the Celebration!
I was going to try and put this all in one post, but there’s just SO much great information, I’m going to have to break it down into three posts.. so here’s what happened our first day.
My family and I checked in at the Polynesian Hotel and received our Disney Social Media Celebration goodies from a great group of Disney Cast members.
I have to tell you, this was my first ‘social media event’ and none of us had any idea of what it was going to be like. My husband and girls were thinking that I would just be in conferences and they would just hang out and do the parks like they regularly do… WRONG!! Right from the moment we picked up or ‘media kit’ my family knew they were in for an AMAZING couple of days.
We spent a few hours at the Magic Kingdom after we were all checked in, but got back to t the hotel in time to catch our bus to the new ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Once there, my husband and girls played some sports games, while I joined a media event where we learned all the FANTASMIC things happening at Disney in 2010! Here are some of the exciting events we learned about:
· The Relaunching of the EPSN Wide World of Sports
· Fantasyland Expansion (groundbreaking 2010)
· Perfecting Paradise – A Magical Makeover for Castaway Cay (2010)
· New Sailings for Disney Magic and Disney Wonder (2010, 2011)
· Disney Cruise Line Expanding Its Fleet (2011, 2012)
After the media event, all the families met back up for a Tailgate Party… Disney Style! And WOW was it amazing. Yummylicious food, great music, and we even got a ‘surprise’ visit from some Disney Characters!
We got to sit with Kristy and her family from Saving Dollars and Sense. Oh my! What a sweetheart of a lady and her family is adorable! Her hubby and my hubby hit it off immediately and actually did ‘rounds’ at the buffet tables together. LOL!
Sitting at our table too was Amy and her family from Saving with Amy. She is SUCH a sweetheart and her little girl is so precious!!
So our first day at the Disney Social Media Event was AMAZING!! I know I’ve said that before.. but it was.. AMAZING!!
And that was just the first night! Tune back in tomorrow for Day 2 – which included a Jonas Brother!!!
(Disney ,nor any other company paid for me to attend this event. I did pay for the conference at a greatly reduced rate and TRULY appreciate that Disney is supporting the social media movement with this event. Disney did NOT ask me or any other attendees to write about the event.)
