Disney Junior & Wishing My Girls Were Little Again

Being a mom to a 17 year old and a 19 year old allots me few excuses as to why I’m watching the Disney Channel in the morning beyond the ‘mom in missing the good ole days’.

Not that I don’t LOVE LOVE LOVE who my girls are now, but I do miss the simpler times when we could throw on The House of Mouse and just giggle together.

And the Disney Channel just keeps getting cuter and better as the years go by. Creating more adorable cartoons and educational shows that will entertain just about any age kid.. including me.

This year, Playhouse Disney will become Disney Junior. It’s the new place on television where magical storytelling comes to life.

Debuting Monday, February 14th, Disney Junior will be a whole new destination for kids ages 2-7 (but I think the older ones will like it too). A place that reflects the emotional connection that generations of consumers have to Disney storytelling and Disney characters, both classic and contemporary.

Not only will children get to see Disney’s unparalleled storytelling, but they will also be learning through all different kinds of components like early math and language skills, as well as healthy eating and lifestyles.

Disney Junior will be kicking off brand new shows like “Jake and the Never Land Pirates”, “Mickey Mousekersize”, “Special Agent Oso:Thee Healthy Steps”, and “A Poem Is..”. It will also included full-length series like “Babar and the Adventures of Badou” and “Tinga Tinga Tales.”

This looks to be a great new line up. New and Old with fresh ideas.

I’m just trying to find some little one’s to babysit so I can justify watching it all. LOL.
