Fasting is something that has always interested me, but have never really taken the time to research, study, or do.
I reviewed one book about fasting awhile back, but still no more motivated to try a fast myself.
But recently I got the chance to review The Daniel Fast by Susan Gregory and I’m starting to pray about when I will actually try a Daniel Fast.
Susan Gregory launched “The Daniel Fast Blogger” in 2007 hoping to encourage and educate her readers that fasting is all about encountering God in a new, healthy way.
The Daniel Fast book allows Susan to share her passion and success in her own fasting experience through delicious recipes, well written instructions and a well written 21-day plan that anyone can follow.
What I really liked about this book was how Susan constantly took it all back to scripture. Always encouraging the reader to seek God for a purpose in fasting and deeper walk with God.

This sounds interesting. Fasting is not my favorite thing but this book might make it a bit easier.
ReplyDeleteWe used to fast one Sunday a month and on Wednesdays. With diabetes it is no longer safe for me, but my family still finds it a powerful tool in meeting with the Lord. I have heard about this book but haven't had time to read it yet. Maybe I need to pop over to Amazon. ☺
