I don’t like this time of year…
When the plastic tubs come back into the house
and the Christmas decorations come down..
Now the house looks empty and not so pretty..
Guess I’ll need to hit some more yard sales and stuff to add some more coziness to the house..
How about you?
Are you taking down decorations? Do you wait till after a certain date?

Yes!! We took ours down yesterday...we usually just keep it up for new years....then it's gone. Although I miss the twinkling lights....I am always thankful for the space back....kinda feels like I can breathe again!!

I hate this time of year. So sad. I usually wait until after the 6th... 12th night... to take down our tree. Then I go through an emotional tug of war with the kids. I say we are going to take the tree down and they beg to leave it up. I don't really want to take it down so I give it. We are usually nearing the end of January before we get around to it. I hate the work of it. But mostly I hate the darkness of winter that sets in once the tree comes down.
