Last night I had the opportunity to sit and watch a screening of Deep in The Heart, the true story of Dick Wallrath.
I wasn’t too sure if I was going to enjoy this movie or not, seeing this east coast girl had never heard of Mr. Wallrath, but Wow, about 5 minutes into the movie and I was hooked. It also quickly drew my husband in from doing some chores around the house.. after about 5 minutes for him too, I found him sitting down next to me, hooked just like I was.
The cast that was put together consists of not only a few Hollywood people you may already know, like John Gries DB Sweeney, and Val Kimmer, but it also has some very talented up and coming actors and actresses that do a fantastic job drawing you into this families life.
Releasing on May 7, 2013, Deep in The Heart is a beautiful, faith founded film that can and will touch anyone’s life that takes the time to watch it.
After his own alcohol abuse caused him to loose everything – job, family, hope – Dick Wallrath found faith, and with it the strength to realize that a strong family and the love of his children were the truest measure of success.
With his sons, Dick went on to build a thriving business and used that success to become the highest all-time individual donor in the Texas to 4-H and FFA through his educational scholarships.
Based on this true story, Deep in The Heart is a tale of finding lost faith, love of family, and, ultimately, redemption. Faith brings second chances and opportunities to do great things. Dick Wallrath’s story proves hope can reach Deep in The Heart.
