Ok. I have to admit..
Although I don’t like the whole ‘start the new year off’ type stuff… I do usually get caught up in it.
This year for me it’s just a few things.
- Getting back on track with eating right – Gluten Free, LOTS OF VEGGIES, less meat, no dairy
- Exercising – ugh – hate this part, but it must be done. Walking and Wii will be my plan of attack
- House Keeping – I’ve recently quit my part time job and one the reasons was that I’ve really missed just being a keeper of my home. So more cooking, cleaning, blogging more, and decorating.. Here I come.
But first things first.
Getting back on track with eating right.
Enter in The Daniel Plan.
But not only is it a great resource for getting yourself healthy via food and exercise, The Daniel Plan also enriches your life spiritually. Sharing the love of Christ and encouraging you with God’s great plan for your life.
The hubster and I already live a pretty healthy lifestyle. We eat more veggies than we do meat and I’m extremely picky about what meat and dairy we eat, but that doesn’t stop me from reading more about have a healthy diet and taking advantage of great recipes.
So, starting next week, the hubster and I are starting The Daniel Plan. We’re going to start with the Detox plan because with the holidays and such, we have gotten off track a bit and I think the Detox will help us a lot.
I loved all the great information that was packed into The Daniel Plan. Scripture, Exercise plans, Meal Plans, and Grocery lists. Love it!
I sat down the other night and ordered a bunch of stuff to get us started and it just came today!!
I’m soo excited. I’m going to be making some really yummy looking new recipes and in just a few days… feeling pretty darn great!

Here’s some more information from the publisher about The Daniel Plan:
Revolutionize Your Health … Once and for All
During an afternoon of baptizing over 800 people, Pastor Rick Warren realized it was time for change. He told his congregation he needed to lose weight and asked if anyone wanted to join him. He thought maybe 200 people would sign up, instead he witnessed a movement unfold as 15,000 people lost over 260,000 pounds in the first year. With assistance from medical and fitness experts, Pastor Rick and thousands of people began a journey to transform their lives.
Welcome to The Daniel Plan.
Here’s the secret sauce: The Daniel Plan is designed to be done in a supportive community relying on God’s instruction for living.
When it comes to getting healthy, two are always better than one. Our research has revealed that people getting healthy together lose twice as much weight as those who do it alone. God never meant for you to go through life alone and that includes the journey to health.
Unlike the thousands of other books on the market, this book is not about a new diet, guilt-driven gym sessions, or shame-driven fasts. The Daniel Plan shows you how the powerful combination of faith, fitness, food, focus, and friends will change your health forever, transforming you in the most head-turning way imaginably—from the inside out.
