I recently started experimenting with juicing. The hubster and I stumbled upon a Jack Lalanne Power Juicer at thrift store a long time ago at a great price, but I never really got into using it. Till now..
Left Over Juice Pulp ~ Dog Treats ~ Vegan Potluck Link Up
I’ve been whipping up some really great tasting juices, but wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with the left over pulp. With a little research, I found that you can make muffins, cookies, and all kinds of yummy treats with the leftovers. But the one idea that really caught my attention was Dog Treats. We have a very strange, crazy, hilarious ‘bagel’ (a mix of beagle and basset hound) dog named Jaxson. Jaxson LOVES his veggies. So making plant based treats was a no brainer.. and very very simple. Plant Based Dog Treats leftover juice pulp from juicing – I had apples and carrots a little bit of coconut oil Shape into balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes. Let cool and place in air tight container. Keep in refrigerator to keep the fresh. Jaxson loves these things and I hope your dog will too. ** Please make sure you are cautious with this. I am not an expert at all on dog food/treats and what is always best for your dog. Please do research or ask a vet before making just any treat.** I submitted this recipe to the Virtual Vegan Linky Potluck – http://wp.me/p4gISF-3dr
