A few years back, when my families eating style started to change, I worried about being able to find recipes that would still actually taste good. Taking gluten and dairy out of recipe could possibly ruin some of our favorite things to eat.
Yet, over the past year I have found so many great cookbooks out there that are packed with delicious tasting recipes that we aren’t missing gluten or dairy at all.
Sweet Eats for All by Allyson Kramer is one of the newest cookbooks that I am really enjoying. Packed with tons of great allergy free friendly recipes, Sweet Eats for All’s only downfall is that all the recipes are so enticing, it’s hard to pick which one to make first.
From the publisher:
From a popular blogger and gluten-free vegan cook, Allyson Kramer: a comprehensive guide to making allergy-friendly sweet treats for any diet, complete with options free of refined sugar.
Are your food allergies or special diet making it hard to satisfy your sweet tooth? Dessert lovers, take heart: Sweet Eats for All provides creative twists on classic confections for people following all sorts of special diets. Recipes include steadfast staples like German chocolate cake and key lime pie alongside innovative dishes like matcha-cashew ice cream and chocolate butternut pots de crème. You’ll also find tips, techniques, and common conversions and substitutions. Each gluten-free vegan recipe is clearly labeled as soy-free, nut-free, or corn-free, and the book dedicates an entire chapter to desserts free of refined sugar.
Thanks to Da Capo Press/ Lifelong Press, I was able to receive a digital copy of the Sweet Eats for All to review. After drooling over a lot of the amazing pictures and recipes, I chose to try out the Mini Maple Doughnuts.
I was a little nervous, having never made doughnuts before, but was THRILLED when the actually turned out looking great.. and they tasted AMAZING!
