I’m a sucker for anything organic… add the word chocolate to it and you’ve definitely got my attention!
It’s probably a good thing they didn’t send me a jar of the Pecan Butter because I would have eaten in all on one seating.. it’s that good!
Now onto the Coconut Cacao Bliss!
I’ve dipped bananas and strawberries in it, spread it on rice cakes, and yes.. even indulged in a small spoonful just by itself. It is truly Bliss..
I found the following recipe on Artisana Organic’s web site for Almond and Cacao Brownies and decided to give it a try. I didn’t have enough almond butter on hand, so I substituted organic Peanut Butter that I had on hand. I was a little nervous about that switch.. but although the brownies didn’t taste like an Almond Joy, which I’m thinking they would using almond butter, they did taste amazing and did NOT last long at all in my house. (I also used my gluten free flour blend in place of regular flour to make it gluten free.)

Almond and Cacao Bliss Brownies
1/2 cup Artisana Almond Butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon almond extract
2/3 cups flour
1/4 cup Artisana Cacao Bliss
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup grated coconut, or chopped nuts
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Combine the Artisana Almond Butter, Artisana Cacao Bliss and sugar.
Add the eggs and almond extract. Mix well.
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet, and mix well. Stir in the coconut and/or nuts
Pour into a greased 9-inch square baking pan. Bake for 35 minutes.
