Another gluten free cookbook?
How can this one be different from the others?
That’s what I think a lot of the times I find another new grain free cookbook one the shelves at the book stores. Yet, I’m learning that each one has it’s own unique personality and outlook on gluten free baking.
Kelly Smith’s everyday grain-free baking is a collection of over 100 grain free and gluten free recipes that will have you wanting to be in the kitchen all day. Well, maybe not all day, but at least for a few hours to make some things like pancakes, pies, and of course.. cookies.
Kelly’s recipes are simple and easy to follow – with a lot of them are have beautiful pictures accompanying them.
A lot of her recipes use almond flour, that which I’m not used to using, but after trying a few recipes, found that it may be a new flour that I’ll be storing in my pantry from now on.
I also enjoyed how most of her recipes are either already dairy free or can be changed over easily by using different milks and substitutes.
For this review, I chose to make The Ultimate Cookie Bars. By just looking at the picture in the cookbook, I was a little worried if I could actually make these, but they were actually really simple to make. And extremely delicious.
Everyday Grain-Free Baking is yes another grain free/gluten free cookbook, but don’t let that fool you.. it’s packed with a lot of great recipes and would be a wonderful addition to your collection.
