I love getting the chance to review new and interesting products, but when I saw these ‘fish skin’ pet treats come in the mail I got a little worried.
I sat and looked at the box and thought
“GREAT! How am I going to do an honest review for this?.. Jaxson is NOT going to like these.. This is going to turn out horribly.”
I slowly opened the box. Took a closer look at the fish skins and called Jaxson to meet me out on the porch…..
As he turned the corner, I was pulling the bag out of the box.
His nose quickly went up into the air and he picked up his pace to meet me where I was sitting. Something had definitely caught his noses attention.
I quickly opened the bag and his tail started to wag like crazy.
At this point I could smell the fish – it wasn’t over powering or nasty in smell – but I could definetly smell it and all I could think was.. ‘you actually like this?’
Jaxson’s tail kept wagging and even a little prancing around started to happen as I dug out the first treat.
Jaxson’s thoughts and or review
Jaxson was BEYOND excited about trying these treats.
He quickly grabbed hold of this treat and started nibbling away.
I laughed and giggled while watching him.
You see, these are fish skins, so it’s not like some crunch dog treat that he was able to just chew up quickly. No he had to work on this one.. tugging and chewing.. chewing and tugging.. but he was more than happy to keep going.
I even posted a little bit of this on Instagram for my followers to see:
It's a 'ruff' life, but someone has to help my human test out these dog treats for her blog. #dogsofinstagram @honestkitchen I wasn't too sure if Jaxs would like these wild-caught fish skin treats, but he devoured the two he got today. I'll post a review of these treats soon, so keep an eye out. #tryTHK
