I’m pretty laid back when it comes to makeup and beauty products.
I’ve never been one to spend a lot of time in the beauty section of any store and I usually opt for the cheaper products..
well, that was until I started learning what was IN those products.
Now I find myself spending a lot more time researching and looking especially for natural and organic products. I may not use them a lot, but the ones I do use… I want them as from from toxic as possible.
The Good Earth Beauty company feels the same way. All their products are made of natural and/or organic ingredients and have never been tested on animals. As a mom, Karen (founder of Good Earth Beauty) was shocked at what ingredients were in the lotions she was using on her children, so she decided to create her own natural beauty product site where she could support and showcase small business that were creating natural and/or organic products.
Natural & Organic Beauty Product by Good Earth Beauty
Showcasing various natural and/or organic companies, Good Earth Beauty carries not only allows you to shop by product, but also by brand. From small business to larger business like Aura Cacia and California Baby, you can pretty much find anything you are looking for.
For this post, I was sent a sampling of the Good Earth Beauty line.
I received two whipped body creams, a lip scrub, soap, and perfume.
My favorite so far, is the Cranberry Fig Whipped Body Cream. It has a nice, light scent to it and my skin feels amazing after using it. Not sticky or oily, just nourished, which is pretty awesome.
The Chocolate Dipped Whipped Cream is nice too. I used it on my arms and hands one day and although it felt great, I felt like I had just eaten dessert. It was fun to smell like that for awhile, but I can see only using that for certain occasions.
The Activated Charcoal Soap & Tea Tree Oil got my attention right as I opened the box. It has a very distinct smell. Not in a bad way, just one that you get right from the start.
I had never heard of ‘activated charcoal soap’ so it was interesting learning that you can use this to help treat acne and other skin issues.
I also had fun trying out the perfumes and the lip scrub.
The lip scrub made my lips feel amazing! I used it after a trip to the beach one day, where my lips felt dry and burnt, and after giving them a good scrub, they felt healthy and soft.
The little perfume rollers came with me on a road trip and came in quite handy when I needed to smell nice and fresh after being in the car for a few hours. I loved the compact size and that they fit right in my pure.
After taking a good look around the Good Earth Beauty web site, I’m thinking I may just have to try some other products like their natural nail polish.. I don’t wear nail polish because it smells so bad, but I’m thinking these are worth a try.
Being healthy doesn’t stop at just eating right.. taking care of yourself via using natural, organic beauty products will help keep toxins out of your body as well, so check out the Good Earth Beauty product site for yourself.
