Can you believe it’s May already?
It seems just like yesterday I was taking down the Christmas tree, but now here I sit with our AC pumping and thinking about what kind of goodies I’m going to make to eat for the Memorial Day weekend.
May was a busy month around The Not So Perfect Housewife home. We had birthdays, traveling, and just regular busy life stuff, but in the midst of all that, I was able to find some really great blog posts that I wanted to share with you.
Here are some of
Things Loved In May ~ Hash Browns, Rednecks, & Sleep
Chocolate Cashew Milk Ice Cream! Yes!! Being a dairy-free gal myself, I was thrilled to find this recipe. I had TOTALLY forgotten that I actually have an ice cream maker, so this recipe is DEFINITELY getting put to use this weekend.
5 Habits for Shopping at The Farmers Market – Kris has some great tips on how to be a pro at shopping at any Farmers Market. Bringing cash is one I always tend to forget.. and regret.. so that’s a great tip. Also, being willing to pay the asking price is such a must – these are usually local farmers who need your support – so be willing to respect and pay the price.. it’s so worth it to have it locally grown.
Redneck Capsule Machine – Quick and Inexpensive – I am in the middle of editing a video of how to make Turmeric capsules and I came across this post. I bought a ‘capsule machine’ myself but I LOVE this idea. It doesn’t really limit you to your capsule size and that’s awesome!
Making and Freezing Hashbrowns – This post makes it look so easy to do! I buy organic potatoes too and get frustrated if I can’t use them in time, so this will definetly come in handy.. just need to get a bigger freezer now. LOL.
and last, but not least..
What to Eat for Better Sleep – can I get a show of hands for people who have trouble sleeping?… Yea, that’s what I thought. So many of us, including myself, have trouble sleeping, so this was a great post for me to read. A few of the ideas I was already familiar with, but ones like the Tart Cherry juice were new ones I may try.
I hope had a great time reading about Things Loved In May ~ Hash Browns, Rednecks, & Sleep. If you’ve got the time, click on over and check out some of these great posts yourself.
Have a wonderfully blessed and fabulous weekend everyone!
On to June we go….
