It’s only the beginning of August, but here at our home, all the summer fun is coming to a close and we will all be back to fall schedules before we know it. So, before things get too crazy, I decided to gather my family together and host a So Long Summer dessert night.
Allergy Friendly Dessert
Back when I found out that I had dairy allergies the one thing I knew I would miss would be cold summer treats. Sundae’s and waffle cones were my favorite snack and I thought they would be gone from my diet forever.
That was, at least, until I came across SO Delicious Dairy-Free Frozen Desserts! Oh what a happy day that was! No more missing out on those cold, creamy desserts. Now I can just head out to my local WalMart and stock up for any special occasion.
Beyond just being dairy-free though, So Delicious frozen desserts are also:
- Non-GMO Project Certified
- No artificial colors, flavors or preservatives
- No high-frutose corn syrup
- Certified Vegan and Kosher
All of which are near and dear to my heart. It’s nice to know that not only are there dairy-free options out there, but that the options go beyond just tasting good. So Delicious Dairy Free products are made with high quality ingredients and the company itself, is committed to doing the right thing for their customers and the planet. Being able to give my family good, quality ingredients is very important to me and finding products like this, makes me very happy.
So, with my family assembled, we proceeded to put together our recipe for deliciousness.
So Long Summer Waffle Dessert Bowls
- 1 box of Gluten-Free frozen waffles
- 3 pints of So Delicious Dairy-Free Frozen Dessert (flavors your choice)
- I used So Delicious Cashew Salted Caramel Cluster (it’s as yummy as it sounds), So Delicious Coconut Vanila Bean, and So Delicious Coconut Chocolate
- Sliced Almonds
- Strawberry preserves
- Homemade dairy-free chocolate syrup
- Chocolate candies
Toast waffles until golden brown. Gather all the toppings and serving bowls. Line serving bowls with gluten-free waffles and So Delicious Dairy Free Frozen Desserts, along with your favorite toppings.
One Happy Mama
We had such a great time putting our own frozen masterpieces together. Getting them to let go of them to take pictures of them, well… that wasn’t as easy. All I kept hearing was.. “Come on Mom.. I want to eat this!!” After a few camera clicks, they were quickly swept away and gobbled up.
Family time is becoming less and less these days as they get older, but it’s nights like these when we can gather together to just have some fun and eat some yummy that makes this mama very happy.
