Thank you to the Stonyfield Blogger team for allowing me to be a part of this years Pay It Forward opportunity.
Being a blogger has a lot of wonderful perks. Great travel opportunities and trying out new products is a lot of fun, but being able to bless others because of it… well, that’s my favorite part.
This time of year seems to always bring to mind those who are struggling in our community, so as a family we like to try and make an extra effort to help where we can.
Pay It Forward ~ What The Season is All About
For our family, this time of year is all about the spirit of giving. It’s a time where we gather with family and friends to celebrate the birth of Jesus and to share the joy that brings. Part of sharing that joy is being able to bless others who may be having a hard time.
Our church has a homeless ministry that works within our community and is always collecting items to take to those who are ‘camped out’ in local areas. Being able to contribute to this ministry is important to us, so I was thrilled to be able to Pay it Forward even more than usual.
What Seems Like a Little Can Go A Long Way
I will readily admit that sitting around the Christmas tree and watching my family opening gifts brings me great joy. But nothing brings me more inner joy then being able to bless someone else. Taking something that I know I take for granted on a daily basis, like food and toiletries, and being able to provide that for others, is extremely fulfilling.
I recently stopped by our local dollar store and was able to gather quiet a few items to share with the homeless ministry. I had been given a list of items that were most needed from the ministry leader and with a ‘Pay it Forward‘ gift card from Stonyfield, I was off to fill my cart. It was a lot of fun to be able to buy all of these products and extremely heartwarming knowing they would be greatly appreciated.
Are You Paying It Forward This Year?
Have you taken the opportunity to Pay It Forward in some way this year?
It doesn’t have to cost much or anything at all. Just doing an act of kindness like smiling or opening a door for someone can be your way of Paying it Forward.
Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas
