I hate this time of year. So sad. I usually wait until after the 6th... 12th night... to take down our tree. Then I go through an emotional tug of war with the kids. I say we are going to take the tree down and they beg to leave it up. I don't really want to take it down so I give it. We are usually nearing the end of January before we get around to it. I hate the work of it. But mostly I hate the darkness of winter that sets in once the tree comes down.

Would love the opportunity to get together in the new year. Let us know if you have plans to travel North.

Oh my goodness. I took down all the Christmas decor and my house looks empty. I really need to learn to decorate for the other times of the year. LOL!

Yes!! We took ours down yesterday...we usually just keep it up for new years....then it's gone. Although I miss the twinkling lights....I am always thankful for the space back....kinda feels like I can breathe again!!
